My Story
At 14, I experienced a serious horse riding accident that resulted in complex facial injuries.
Over the years, I underwent multiple reconstructive surgeries, including bone grafts taken from my hips to rebuild facial bone.
Alongside my recovery, I navigated a litigation process during a formative stage of my life without the guidance of a dedicated rehabilitation case manager.
Managing medical treatment, legal proceedings, and adolescence required resilience and perspective beyond my years.
That experience shaped not only my confidence but also my understanding of how deeply injury can affect identity, independence, and self-esteem. It highlighted the critical importance of meaningful, coordinated support during such vulnerable periods.
For a long time, I believed that showing vulnerability was a weakness. Over time, I have learned that vulnerability is not a limitation; it is a strength that fosters growth, deeper connection, and the courage to rebuild.
I went on to train as an Occupational Therapist and now work as a Rehabilitation Case Manager, supporting individuals and families following serious injuries. I understand, both personally and professionally, how overwhelming this time can feel.
Engagement has always been at the heart of my approach. Truly listening, building trust, working collaboratively, and ensuring the individual remains at the center of every decision are my priorities.
That is why I founded Engage Case Management Ltd, because I believe people should never feel like a case file. They should feel heard, understood, and actively involved in rebuilding their lives.
My work is grounded in lived experience, clinical expertise, and a commitment to putting people, not processes, at the core of everything I do.
